About this application service

Who it's for
Skilled workers in eligible occupations, being sponsored by a UK employer — including those switching from a Student visa while in the UK.
What's involved
An eligibility and salary threshold review, Certificate of Sponsorship coordination with your employer, application preparation and a compliance check before submission.
Compliance matters

- Application preparation and compliance check
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a job offer to apply?
Yes — the Skilled Worker route is employer-sponsored. You need a Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed sponsor before you can apply. We coordinate this with your employer.
What is the salary threshold?
There is a minimum salary for the route, which generally varies by occupation code. We review your salary against the requirement that applies to your role before submission.
Can I switch to a Skilled Worker visa from inside the UK?
Often yes, including from a Student visa, provided you meet the requirements. We assess whether switching in-country is right for you.
